Blake Don Armajo, Sr.
(Ethete, Wyo.) – Blake Don Armajo Sr. age 52, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. He was born February 7, 1965 in Lander, WY the son of the late Morton and Genevieve, Armajo
Blake was a lifelong resident of the Wind River Indian Reservation. He attended schools at Mill Creek and Wyoming Indian High School. He was a heavy equipment operator and loved his job.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, roping, watching basketball and pow wows. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and being with his family and friends.
He is survived by daughters, Kaylei Dollard, Amber and Alyssa Noseep, McKenna Armajo; sons, Keith, Greg and Blake Armajo Jr. and Jared Noseep; brothers, Eli Armajo, Jr. and Alfred Armajo Jr. and adopted brother Franklin “Boss” Whiteclay; grandchildren, Keryssa Noseep, Jayce and Armajo Serenity; aunts, Rhoda Armajo and Sandy McGill; uncles, Ernie McGill and Alfred Armajo Sr., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and families of Armajo, Whiteplume, McGill, Shoyo and Roanhorse.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Cheryl Armajo Redhouse and Roberta Armajo Little Nest; brother, Clarence Armajo Sr.; grandparents, Clarence and Evelyn McGill, Edith and Adolph Armajo; aunts, Alta and Kathy McGill and Rita Bowlins; uncles Gary and Maynard McGill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7th at 10:00 AM at Blue Sky Hall with Theron Wells officiating. An Evening Service will be held Tuesday, June 6th at 7:00PM at Blue Sky Hall with a Wake to follow at Blue Sky Hall. Interment will be in the Yellow Calf Cemetery at Ethete, WY.
