Almona Aurella Wesaw
(Fort Washakie, Wyo.) – Almona Wesaw age 67 passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017. She was born March 8, 1950 in Pocatello, ID, the daughter of the late George and Isabelle Wesaw.
Almona was raised on the Wind River Indian Reservation. She was a homemaker. She attended schools at Ft. Washakie, Idaho State University and Scottsdale Community College. She loved to shop, yard sales, traveling, beading and writing. She also loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by spouse, Gillman Card; daughters, White Fawn Wesaw, Dancing Willow Wesaw and Dawn Star Wesaw; sons, Joshua Wesaw, Morning Hawk Wesaw and Dreaming Hawk Wesaw; brothers, George Wesaw Jr. and Bedeaux Wesaw; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; aunt, Roberta Engavo. Numerous nieces, Nephews and cousins. Families of Wesaw, Four Souls, Weed , Tindall and others.
She was preceded in death by grandfather, Tom Wesaw; aunt, Helen Weed; uncles, Starr Weed, Delmar Wesaw and Franklin Wesaw.
Tradition Indian Services will be held Thursday, June 15th at 10:00 AM at Rocky Mountain Hall with Arlen Shoyo officiating. An evening service and wake will be held Wednesday, June 14th at 209 Trout Creek Road, Ft. Washakie at 7:00 PM with a wake to follow at the same location. Interment will be in the Sacajawea Cemetery, Ft. Washakie, WY.
