Dubois area man dies after car leaves road, crashes through fence near Lava Creek Lodge

(Dubois, Wyo.) – Fremont County Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Stratmoen said an investigation is continuing into a single vehicle crash near Lava Mountain Lodge west of Dubois on Tuesday at 10:31 a.m. in which a Dubois area man died. Fifty-One year-old Mark John Hyska’s car ran off of Highway 26/287 and through a fence. Stratmoen said a autopsy would be conducted on Thursday to help determine his cause of death.

The Chief Deputy Coroner said it’s possible that Hyska suffered a medical-related event prior to the crash, “but the autopsy would determine that. At this point, there is no known cause of death.”

A sweet & dear man who gave a lot of TLC to others! He always went above & beyond when he used to drive the Senior Center bus. I feel blessed to have known him. I send loving thoughts & prayers to his precious boys & all his family & friends.
