(Riverton, Wyo.) – Attendees will marvel at this year’s lineup of theatre productions set to be showcased during the 2014-15 season. Season tickets are on sale now at the CWC box office.
“This year we will be performing some of the most challenging productions in the history of CWC,” says theatre director Mike Myers.
The season begins with a riveting performance of John Pielmeier’s “Agnes of God” on September 5, 6, and 7. The department will also be adding gala celebrations for three major productions; an opportunity for attendees to chat with the actors, partake in extraordinary sweets, enjoy live music, and join in a toast to the cast.
The theatre season will have a variety of productions including drama, comedy, and musicals. “We construct each season with productions that showcase our performers and entertain our audiences with comedy, drama, and music. We wrap many different styles and performances into the schedule,” says Myers. October includes the thrilling production of “1984”, a play based on the George Orwell novel that has often been referred to as the most influential novel of the 20th century. Myers says, “We are hoping students and the community will come and reacquaint themselves with how relevant his book is in today’s world.” Other productions on the schedule include “4 (or more) in 24”, the seasonal classic “A Christmas Carol”, and “The King and I”.
Season tickets are on sale now at the CWC box office, open daily from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Adults are $35 and youth/senior citizen tickets are $30 for the six-production season. Tickets may also be ordered online at www.tickets.cwc.edu. Individuals who need additional information may also call the CWC box office at 307.855.2002.
