(Fremont County, Wyo.) – Here is Thursday’s recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed to be innocent until convicted in a court of law.
Fremont County Sheriff’s Office
Joseph James, 31, Riverton, on a Probation Revocation warrant. A 911 call to the dispatch center which then disconnected was traced to an address on East Monroe in Riverton. When Deputies responded they discovered that a person at that address, James, had an outstanding warrant.
Brandon Quinn, 25, Riverton, Jefferson County, Oregon, arrest warrant.
A resident on Twin Creek Road out of Lander complained that cows keep getting onto their property.
A caller in the 11,100 block of Highway 789 complained that a power company truck entered her yard and ran over her peacock. Deputies determined it is a civil and not criminal issue.
Deputies were called to Snowberry Lane north of Riverton where a vehicle was allegedly struck by a hit and run driver.
The parent of a person in Riverton drug court showed up at the court in a state of intoxication. The parent blew a .31 percent BAC and was taken to the Center of Hope detox center.
Deputies were unable to locate a male who was reportedly beating a female at the Rendezvous Ponds area in Southeast Riverton.
Lander Police Department
Christopher Sherman, 32, Lander, Driving Under Suspension.
At 9:54 a.m., police were called to a location on the 300 block of Main Street by a utility worker who found what they thought were drugs in the area. The report is under investigation.
Identity theft was reported at about noon by someone on the 200 block of Cascade Street.
At 2 p.m., a suspected burglary was reported on the 100 block of South Second Street. The caller said they found the neighbor’s window broken out. The call was down-graded to property destruction after officers were able to determine that everything inside the home was untouched.
A person on the 500 block of Garfield reportedly possibly being defrauded of $50 by someone who they thought gave a false story.
Riverton Police Department calls were not readily available as RPD representatives could not meet with media. That information will be added when it comes available.
