CWC President Valdez took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge reached Riverton this afternoon when Central Wyoming College President Dr. Chris Valdez took an ice water bath courtesy of the CWC Volleyball team.

Also challenged, and doused with ice cold water, were CWC Athletic Trainer Scott Pope and CWC Women’s Basketball Coach Serol Stauffenberg.

The dousing occurred in front of the campus library next to the Rising Promise fountain.

The event, which is spreading like wildfire across the country, is to benefit the ALS Foundation to find a cure for the disease, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
