Hospice Home celebrated its new gazebo and barbecue grill last weekend

(Riverton, Wyo.) – A celebration was held one week ago today to recognize those individuals and organizations who helped make it possible for a barbecue grill and gazebo to be installed at the Help For Help Hospice Home.

Members of the Riverton Rotary and Riverton Lions clubs were recognized for their financial donations and sweat in building the new area, as was Doug Newlin and the Kids Being Tough group. The Kids group annually raises funds for the Tough Enough Cancer Fund for Fremont County and they provided the food for the BBQ.

The “Thank You BBQ” included the food the Kids Being Tough rounded up: hamburgers (they were given special pricing from Smiths), Walmart gave them a $100 gift card in which they purchased plates, condiments, etc., Pepsi donated the pop and water, Tweeds donated hamburger buns, Red Eagle Food Service donated ice and local Christian Woman’s groups donated desserts.

“It was a beautiful day and it again made us all realize what a wonderful community we serve,” said Help For Help Executive Director Rhonda Locker.

While the Riverton Rotary and Lions Clubs were involved in this venture, a very key player was Garry Burnette, without whom this project might not have seen the light of day. Thanks, Garry, for your community caring and involvement.
