Phase II of Eight Mile Road overlay project began this morning at Highway 26 intersection

(Midvale, Wyo.) – Work on the Phase II, $2-million resurfacing project on the Eight Mile Road northwest of Riverton began in earnest today with milling of the old pavement. In Phase I, some five miles of the heavily used county road was overlayed with new asphalt last year. In Phase II, the remaining sections of the road, from Wyoming 134 at Midvale south to South Irishman Road and from Highway 26 north to the Pilot Canal.

HK Contractors of Idaho was the low bidder. See details of the bid award here.  The project is one of the county’s Optional One Cent Sales Tax Projects.

    Little bit of warning would have been nice! We have numerous radio stations that this could have been used- not my idea of a surprise when I try to go to work in the morning!
