(Dubois, Wyo.) – The periodic closures to Brooks Lake Road (Forest Road 515) have been extended to Mondaythrough Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
This extension is a result of recent rains, which saturated the soil at the work site. As a result, there is an unanticipated need to place a large amount of gravel at the site of the road work. It is anticipated this new closure will be in place for the next two to three weeks.
The closure to Brooks Lake Road is to replace a culvert that recently failed. The location of the work will be roughly 2.5 miles from the junction with Highway 26/287.
Those wishing to travel the road to Brooks Lake are encouraged to call the Wind River District Office at 307-455-2466 to obtain the latest information on the status of the road.
