(Lander, Wyo.) – Today the City of Lander excitedly announced that Tegeler and Associates is sponsoring a $25,000 Hole-in-One Challenge for the Lander Community Center Fundraising Tournament. The event will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at the Lander Golf Course.

“Tegeler & Associates is proud to be a part of Lander, and happy to be given an opportunity to help support the Community Center Rebuilding Project. The community center is a place with many fond memories, and the new community center will be a place where new memories are made,” said Tegeler representative Tim Robeson. “I look forward to cheering on all the participants on Hole #15 with the nearly completed community center in the backdrop.”

The $50 per person event will begin at 9 a.m. and be a 18 hole, four-person scramble. To sign up, call Doug at the Lander Golf Club at 332-GOLF (4653). There will also be awards for closest to the pin and longest drive.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the rebuilding of the Lander Community Center. Tragically in 2012, the former community burned to the ground. Currently, a new $5.8 million community and convention center is being constructed and scheduled for completion by the end of August.

“The new community center is a much improved facility and will attract visitors from across Wyoming to spend primary dollars in Lander,” Councilman and Campaign Chair Cade Maestas stated. “Our community recognizes both the benefits and potential of the rebuilt facility. I am thrilled that yet another Lander business has stepped up in yet another way to support the community center by supporting the golf tournament.”

This golf tournament is part of a series of events held in Lander to raise funds for the rebuilding of the community center.  Future events to be held are:

-September 13th: Lander Ambassadors Barn Raiser at Community Center

-November 15th: Guns, Boots, & Brands Event at Community Center

-February 2015: Lander Ambassadors Extravaganza

Only $150,000 remains to be raised of the $1.5 million fundraising goal.
