(Cody, Wyo.) – A Michigan man was airlifted from the Robinson Creek area on Thursday evening after suffering an unknown medical emergency. Paul Jefts, age 60 from Big Rapids, Michigan was fishing with friends when he became ill. Robinson Creek is located approximately 20 miles from the Cabin Creek Trailhead at the end of the South Fork Road. The area is due west of Hardluck Mountain.
The call came in to the Park County Sheriff’s 911 Communication Center at 9:00 p.m. on the evening of July 24. Park County Search and Rescue was immediately activated and a helicopter from Classic Air Medical out of Riverton, Wyoming was summoned to the scene. Jefts was airlifted to West Park Hospital where his condition is unknown at this time.
