Riverton man reportedly killed in North Dakota wreck

(Riverton, Wyo.) – North Dakota news agencies are reporting that 29-year-old Riverton man Jeffrey Novotny was killed in a DUI crash in Williams County, N.D., in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Novotny was reportedly a passenger in a Dodge Ram pickup driven by a Zackery Brown. When Brown allegedly failed to stop at an intersection, the truck was struck by 2011 Mack truck.

After the pickup was dragged a short ways, the pickup reported caught on fire. It was put out by the semi driver, who was uninjured. Novotny was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. Brown was air lifted to a nearby hospital. One news outlet reports that he has been charged with driving under the influence.
