(Riverton, Wyo.) – The U.S. Department of Labor has extended the Request For Proposal deadline in the process of choosing an operator for the Wind River Job Corps Center in Riverton to Tuesday, August 12th. The RFP, which was originally published on May 9th, has subsequently undergone five changes, necessitating the deadline for potential operators to reply be extended. The latest amended RFP was posted on the DOL’s website today (Wednesday).
According to the posting, “the RFP is under review as a result of questions submitted after releasing the revised solicitation.”
The successful contractor to operate the Wind River Job Corps will be required to provide academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training for an estimated total of 300 students, 260 of which will be residential and 40 of which non-residential, with an equal gender split. The contractor will also be required to provide health care, counseling and other support services as needed and assist the students in obtaining employment, additional education or training, or entry into the Armed Forces. The contractor will be required to integrate center operations with the local workforce development systems, employers, the business community and community-based organizations, according to the RFP.
