Sinks Canyon’s intern was Samantha Manicone, a junior at SUNY Oswego studying biological science.

Sinks Canyon State Park in Wyoming is my week 2, job 2 internship and the employees here are been more then generous,” Manicone told County10. “Here, I am helping with maintenance work to keep the park neat for visitors as well as working in the Visitor Center to greet and chat with travelers. I am learning about the flora and fauna of the great Wyoming Sinks Canyon region hoping to see many animals, birds and plant life. I hope to explore this beautiful state park to truly take in what this beautiful state has to offer.”

Manicone will also participate in internships in Maryland and New York to study sustainability, environmental science and biology career fields.

Seddichi said that the program has had a couple other interns in Wyoming in recent weeks. All of the programs participants pick where they want to go to further their education and understanding of the country.
