(Torrington, Wyo.) – The Riverton 13-14 Year-Old Babe Ruth All Stars went on an offensive rampage and went undefeated at the state tournament in Torrington and will now represent Wyoming at the Pacific Northwest Regionals in Whitefish, Mont., beginning July 29th. The team received the traditional ride on the Riverton Fire Department’s Ladder Truck around town with the siren blaring after their arrival Saturday night just before 8 p.m. The parade included a caravan of happy family members and friends, honking their vehicle horns all along the route.

Riverton’s Renegades defeated Sheridan 13-6, Lander 15-0, Torrington 13-3 and then beat Sheridan in the title game 11-3.

The Renegades are now guaranteed four games at the regional. They will play Southern Oregon, Northern Washington, Idaho and Montana. Ten teams from the United States and Canada will participate in the tournament. Alberta is the lone Canadian representative.

The Riverton team is now looking for donations to help pay for their trip to regionals. Contributions may be sent to: Riverton Babe Ruth Baseball, 38 Hawk Road, Riverton, WY 82501.

The Riverton All-Stars include: Jaren Draper #10, Kyren Higgs #2, Ridge McCoy #11, Cody Fraizer #7, Hayden Wempen #13, Dillon Fabricius #12, Matt Fisher #1, Dalton Lassiter #5, Brody Roden #4, Peyton Rees, #6, Dalton Valdez #9 and Issac DeVries #3. Coaches are Shane Lassiter, Mike Fisher and Les Wempen.
