WLRC Residents treated to a hot air balloon tethered ride in Lander this morning

(Lander, Wyo.) – While media members and others were getting hot air ballon rides at the start of the annual Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally early today, a balloon also went up in Lander. It was tethered, and it gave residents of the Wyoming Life Resource Center a chance to experience lifting off and going up in a balloon.

Today’s ride was provided by Gayle McCoy, the pilot and owner of the balloon called Misbehavin’ from Springcreek, Nevada. It will launch with the other balloons in tomorrow morning’s event in Riverton.

But today, it was the residents of the WLRC who benefited, and according to reports, the tethered rides were greatly anticipated and enjoyed.
