(Evanston, Wyo.) – A crash on Interstate 80 in Utah has halted westbound traffic in Wyoming at Evanston. The Wyoming Highway Patrol received the request from Utah authorities at5:15 this morning to close Interstate 80 westbound due to the crash at mile post 185 in Utah. Westbound I 80 remains closed at this time and is not projected to open until sometime late this afternoon as road repair is required from the crash.

Westbound traffic is reported to be backed up on I 80 from the Utah state line at Evanston to Rawlins at this time. Motorists are urged to plan an alternative route if necessary and have patience as the crash scene is cleared.
