(Jackson, WY) Join Dancers’ Workshop for a creative Summer Residency with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company this July. This internationally acclaimed company has set the course for modern dance in the last 30 years, and it is an honor for DW to bring these artists to Wyoming to work and share their artistry.

Founded in 1983, Bill T. Jones / Arnie Zane Dance Company has performed around the world. Mr. Jones received a MacArthur Genius Award in 1994 and continues to play a role in shaping American contemporary dance, experimenting with story, kinetic poetry, and pure entertainment. The company’s work incorporates social issues and narrative threads, often collaborating with visual artists and musicians. With this residency, Dancers’ Workshop will become co-commissioner of the company’s latest work, entitled Analogy (working title). This process, as well as its source material – the book Emigrants by W. G. Sebald – will no doubt inspire our local community.
