July Fourth celebrators along the Pioneer Days Parade route in 2013.

(Lander, Wyo.) – Friday is July Fourth, and that means there are events going on throughout the county this week. Check out the places to be below.

From 9 a.m. on July 4th to midnight, the open container law will be waived in Lander city limits. This means that open containers of alcohol anywhere in town are legal. This does not constitute a waiver of public intoxication or driving under in the influence laws. Additionally, the open container waiver is only within Lander, and no where else in the county.

Lander is also allowing fireworks to be shot off within city limits. That allowance is from 10 a.m. July 4th to midnight. Fireworks are also allowed in the county. Fireworks are not allowed inside the city limits of Riverton.
