Pokes game with Florida Atlantic to be on MWN; Five others on ESPN, three on Root sports
(Laramie, Wyo.) – The Mountain West Network, powered by Campus Insiders, announced Tuesday its broadcast schedule for the 2014 football season. Seven Saturday contests will be broadcast live online exclusively on the MWN and CampusInsiders.com. This marks the most live football games streamed exclusively by the Mountain West Network andCampus Insiders since the inception of the partnership. One of the seven games selected by the Mountain West Network was Wyoming’s Sept. 20 home game versus Florida Atlantic, which will kick off at 2 p.m., Mountain Time.
“The Mountain West is a tremendous partner, and we look forward to building on last season’s success and once again providing a great schedule of football games to fans,” said Crowley Sullivan, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Campus Insiders. “Producing high-quality, live programming like Mountain West football is very important as Campus Insiders continues its growth and expansion into additional platforms and partnerships.”
In addition to the seven Campus Insiders-produced games, the Mountain West Network will also retain the digital streaming rights to the eight previously-announced ROOT SPORTS football telecasts. Digital streams of those games will be made available on the MWN in those areas that fall outside of both the ROOT SPORTS Rocky Mountain and Northwest territories, and any additional markets for which the games have been sublicensed to a local cable or broadcast network.
Mountain West Conference and ROOT SPORTS announced on Thursday, June 19 the eight Mountain West games to be televised by ROOT SPORTS during the 2014 college football season. The Wyoming Cowboys will be featured in three of those eight games, including the Saturday, Aug. 30 home game versus Montana and road games at Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 25and at New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 29.
The Wyoming Cowboys will also be featured on five ESPN network telecasts as part of the 2014 Mountain West Conference television package with ESPN.
Game times and specific outlets for the remaining ESPN network games will be determined during the course of the regular season, and will generally be announced 12 days prior to the date of the game.
The University of Hawai’i also announced game times for select home games this week. Wyoming’s game at Hawai’i onSaturday, Oct. 11 has been set for 10 p.m., Mountain Time (6 p.m., Hawai’i Time).
