Riverton woman connected to Casper meth ring pleads guilty

(Casper, Wyo.) – During District Court arraignments in Casper, multiple members of the alleged methamphetamine distribution ring that were arrested in April, have pleaded not guilty.

One of those arrested in the case has entered a guilty plea to the charge of conspiracy as per a plea agreement with the District Attorney’s office.

Sandra Manzanares, 58, has pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge with the promise that her three and a half to five year jail sentence will be suspended and that she will serve three years probation.

The potential penalty to Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, is 20 years in prison.

Manzanares stated to the court what had happened and when she met with alleged members of the ring.

“On March 26, I texted Ernie (Montoya), to meet me in Shoshoni with 1/4 ounces of meth,” she said to the court. “I gave him money and he gave me the drugs… it was my intention for my friends and girlfriends to use it for weight loss.”

Manzanares is currently out on a $15,000 bond awaiting pre sentencing investigation report and a sentence hearing.

It's really easy to judge, isn't it? And to joke about it. You're entitled t your opinion but everyone is guilty of something, even you.

Judge too easy on those people. That is why a lot of people think they can get away with dealing in drugs Make them pay
