WYDOT Paving crew begins annual hot-mix patching Monday across county
(Fremont County, Wyo.) – A Wyoming Department of Transportation asphalt paving crew is scheduled for work beginning next week on Wyoming 134 (Missouri Valley Road) and Wyoming 789 between Hudson and Lander.
The paving crew is scheduled to pave about than 500 tons of hot-mix asphalt on Missouri Valley Road Monday, June 23, then more than 1,750 tons of asphalt between Hudson and Lander on June 24-25.
All work is dependent upon favorable weather.
The WYDOT hot-mix asphalt patching work is scheduled to continue June 26, June 30 and July 1-2 on Wyoming 135 (Sand Draw Road). Beginning, July 7, the WYDOT paving crew is scheduled to work five days on Wyoming 28 (South Pass). Then July 15-16, the crew is scheduled to complete its summer work near Dubois on U.S. 26.
The WYDOT paving operation consists of a paving crew, a roller operator and numerous WYDOT trucks hauling the hot asphalt.
“Please obey posted speed limits during the paving operation, and obey flaggers and traffic control for safety’s sake. Drivers should expect short delays,” said WYDOT District 5 Paving Foreman Kim Kurasz of Dubois. “In work zones, pay attention or pay the price.”
