(Dubois, Wyo.)- Amy Novelli is the new Visitor Services Coordinator for the Dubois Museum: Wind River Historical Center, the Fremont County Museum System announced on Thursday.

A wide variety of jobs and experiences throughout Amy’s life will contribute to her work and life here in Dubois: Born and raised in Ohio and Pennsylvania, Amy Novelli earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Columbus (Ohio) School of Art & Design and her Master of Fine Arts with emphasis in Public Art and Community Affiliation from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Novelli has also lived in New York, New Orleans, Arizona, New Mexico, and traveled throughout the U.S., Europe and Mexico.

Novelli has worked for the Andy Warhol Museum as part of the initial curriculum development team and taught art classes at the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh. In New York City she fabricated floats for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade Studio, sold art and archival supplies and worked for a fine art moving and storage company. In Tucson, Arizona, Novelli taught at the University of Arizona and Pima Community Colleges, trained horses and gave riding lessons, painted for events, theatre, signs and home renovation, created public art sculptures with high school youth as well as creating her own fine art for sale in galleries, (mostly painting, drawing, printmaking).

Most recently, Amy was the Charge Scenic Artist for the Arizona Theatre Company where she painted and trained others to paint all the scenery for the Broadway quality shows created there.

Amy is settling in to Dubois with her BLM adopted mustang mare and two dogs and looks forward to seeing you at the Museum! She welcomes ideas, conversations and questions about the wonderful future of The Dubois Museum.
