Riverton council to act on 17 applications for catering, other permits & FORCC overlay bid
FORCC street overlay recommendations also on tap
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The city council will be asked Tuesday night to approve eight catering permit applications, eight malt beverage permit applications and one open container application. The events being catered include a Reach Foundation Corporate function, the Wrangler Classic at the Jim Moss Arena, a class reunion and a street dance. Several of the events are for multiple days. The malt beverage permits are for the Friends of the Fremont County Fair for events each night of the fair beginning July 26th and the open container is for the Boot Bar Street Dance planned on South Broadway in front of the bar on July 18th.
A fireworks permit application from the Riverton Rendezvous Association and Riverton’s Little League is also on tap.
Counselors will also be asked to approve a For Our Roads Citizens Committee recommendation on a major patching and asphalt overlay project scheduled this fall for city streets that received concrete curb and gutter replacement this summer. Low bid on the project was Dave’s Asphalt of Riverton with a bid of $390,770. The only other bid received was from 71 Construction for $530,871.
Also up for approval Tuesday are three Airport Land Lease agreements. The leases are from two agricultural-oriented pesticide spraying operators and the Bureau of Land Management for staging fire fighting aircraft at the airport this summer. The private firms seeking the leases are Sky Aviation out of Worland and Wind River Ag from Riverton.
