(Lander, Wyo.) – On Friday evening, the entire staff of Fremont Therapy gathered together to donate $10,000 to the Challenge for Charities. This is the second year that Fremont Therapy has been a platinum level sponsor for the local nonprofit group.
The Challenge for Charities is a community-wide fundraiser, sponsored by the Lander Community Foundation, which raises and donates funds to 35 local nonprofit groups. Since 2011, the Challenge for Charities has raised more than $600,000 for Lander’s charitable organizations. Each nonprofit gets to keep all the money it raises, and then the Foundation matches up to the first $10,000 of contributions made to each group.
The physical therapy group’s contribution will go to the matching fund pool. Funds raised by the community for the participating nonprofits will be matched in-part by the matching fund pool. In 2013, the foundation was able to provide a 54 percent match; in other words, a $100 donation became $154.
