Riverton Justice Center bid review on County Commission’s agenda

(Lander, Wyo.) – The Fremont County Commission on Tuesday will review the bids it has received for the Fremont County Justice Center construction. Seven bids were received, with a Rawlins contractor being the apparent low bidder.

The bid review will be held at about 11:30 a.m. The meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. in the commission’s chambers at the Fremont County Courthouse in Lander.

Also on tomorrow’s agenda is a department update from Sheriff Skip Hornecker, a budget hearing for Ambulance Department and more. See the complete tentative agenda below.

    Please lose the 2 story glass in the entry that makes the room unusable in the summer and raises heating bills in the winter. Blocks or bricks would be cheaper than bullet resistant glass that would require frequent cleaning and very expensive blinds to make the space usable. Are you planning on moving those ridiculous containers up there to block the glass? How about a little common sense on this white elephant? Is this going to be another Lander jail???
