(Fort Washakie, Wyo.) – Fort Washakie sixth-grader Jaden Ferris recently led a half-time show at a WNBA Atlanta Dream game in Atlanta, Ga. The team held a Native American Night on May 30 in honor of rookie team member Shoni Schimmel. Schimmel is from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Oregon.
Michelle Ferris reports that Jaden was recruited to participate in the half-time show and got to perform with the Red Road Dancers. Jaden opened the show with a hoop-dance performance.
