Jaycee Park flooding attributed to adjacent field irrigation, which occurs 2-3 times a year

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Jaycee Park in Riverton is partially flooded this afternoon, but the water is now starting to recede, according to Riverton City Parks Supervisor Joel Blury. “This happens two to three times a year when the field behind the park is irrigated,” he said. “They’ve been notified and were working to drain the water now,” he said just past 1 p.m. At least the grass there won’t have to be watered for a while. Thanks to Bethany Baldes for the photo.
