Riverton City Council to consider potential annexation, Visitors Council budget plan
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Riverton City Council will meet in regular session tonight, but beginning a hour earlier than usual to meet a candidate for the position of Public Services Director, formerly held by the late Bill Urbigkit. That sessions starts at 6 p.m.
The council’s pre-meeting is at 6:45 p.m. and the regular session begins at 7 p.m.
Agenda highlights include consideration of a liquor license transfer from Fred and Yuko Perrett to Perett’s, Inc., doing business as Perett’s Pizza, Pasta and Calzones. The council will also be asked to review and approve the budget for the Wind River Visitors Council, Fremont County’s Lodging Tax Board and reappoint Sarah Kalbach to that board.
The Apodaca First Addition plat is up for review and approval. The plat spells out a new residential development south of Webbwood Road and East of North Broadway that is proposed to be annexed to the city. The council will also hold a public hearing and first reading to zone the Apodaca property as Residential B.
Back on the agenda is an item that was tabled last month involving the purchase of a Dura Patcher machine for street maintenance. The purchase was proposed by the For Our Roads Citizens Committee.
Tonight’s meeting, as every city council meeting, is open to the public. The meeting is also cablecast on the city’s public access channel 11.
