Rendezvous School Playground has new map of USA thanks to an Eagle Scout Project

(Riverton, Wyo.) – A Riverton youth’s Boy Scout Eagle Project has resulted in a large map of the United States painted on the playground at Rendezvous School.

Adam Weaver came up with the idea for the project, and then enlisted many volunteers from the school and donations of paint and supplies from Riverton businesses. After the selected area of the playground was cleaned of dirt, rocks and weeds, Weaver started the project at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 17th and the last brushes were put away about 5 p.m. A total of 78 volunteer was recorded during the event. Weaver said “traffic paint” was used so the project would last longer.
