(Lander, Wyo.) – A total of 5,383 customers of Rocky Mountain Power in Lander experienced a power outage for 16 minutes this morning due to a “loss of transmission,” according to company spokesman Paul Murphy in Salt Lake City.
The power went out at 10:28 a.m.and was restored about 10:44 a.m. “A failed insulator on the transmission line from Atlantic City to WYOPO was the cause,” Murphy said. “We were able to switch power from a different line and restore service.” He said crews will replace the failed insulator and that transmission line will be reenergized. “There should not be a problem when we switch back to that line,” he said.
