(Lander, Wyo.) – Following last week’s retirement announcement from Fremont County School District 1 Superintendent Michael Bowman, the Lander Board of Education has set a couple special executive sessions to discuss personnel matters.
One was held on Monday afternoon, and another has been set for tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at the Starrett building. All that has been said about the executive sessions is that they are to discuss personnel matters. Executive sessions are closed from public attendance pursuant to state statutes.
Board Chairman Brett Berg on Tuesday morning had no new information he could share about the meetings. Berg did say he expected some action to be taken in a meeting open to the public sometime in the near future. Whether it would be in a special meeting or at a regularly scheduled meeting, he was not yet sure.
Following Bowman’s announcement last week, Berg said the search for a new superintendent had begun.
