(Cheyenne, Wyo.) – Governor Matt Mead will travel to Cody for traditional Memorial Day ceremonies and the dedication of the World War I Memorial on Monday. The events will take place at the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Park at 11:00 am on May 26.
“As we pause and reflect on the sacrifice of the men and women who died serving our nation this Memorial Day we honor each of them. Whether they were our family member, neighbor or friend, each left an indelible mark as they stood to protect America and the freedoms we enjoy today,” Governor Mead said. “The dedication of the World War I Memorial is significant. I am glad to be part of it. This Memorial commemorates those from our state who died in World War I. It is a moving tribute to these fallen soldiers.”
The Wyoming Veterans Memorial Park is located at the intersection of highway 14/16/20 and Childers Street in Cody.
