Library Parking Lot Party – at the Fremont County Library in Lander from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sign up for reading programs, carnival games and enjoy root beer floats. For more information, call 332-5194.
National EMS Week Open House – The open house will be at the Lander Ambulance barn at 310 North First Street from 4-8 p.m. Eat a hot dog, tour the station and the equipment. Watch a “mock” accident with vehicle extrication, helicopter response and patient treatment. Read more about the event here.

Flag Placing at Veteran’s Graves – Volunteers and the public are invited to Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton starting at 9 p.m. Bring gloves and wagons/carts and come join as we put out flags. Last year over 1400 flags were put out.
Relay for Life fundraiser – The event will be in the Maurices parking lot on the 1600 block of West Main in Riverton. There will be a huge bouncy slide, a dunk tank, face painting and Frybread Lonnies’ Indian Tacos.
Moccasin Lake Challenge Run – The 18-mile mountain run starts at 10 a.m. to Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie. The race is in dedication to Harrison ‘Bunny’ Shoyo. For more information, call 307-349-7290.
Lander Old Timers Queen Contest POSTPONED – Fremont County girls age 7 to 23 years compete for the Title of Lander Pioneer Days Queen, Lady in Waiting and Princess. The competition consists of Horsemanship (including a reining pattern) and an interview with judges. Applications are available at the Lander Chamber of Commerce or email email@example.com.

Memorial Day Service – The service at the High Mountain Cowboy Church starts at 10 a.m. at 181 North Fork Road in Lander. Veterans are invited to carry their service flags.
Monday, May 26
Memorial Day Flag Raising – From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. the American Legion Post 84 is raising flags for deceased veterans at the St. Stephen’s cemetery. The post will perform brief prayer and Flag Song ceremony to raise family flags as they bring them out. Then they will stand guard over them until the family comes to retrieve their Colors later that day.
Veterans’ Breakfast – The Lander VFW is hosting a breakfast for veterans starting at 7 a.m. and going until about 9:30 a.m.
Memorial Day Service – The Riverton service will be at Mountain View Cemetery starting at 10 a.m.
