(Riverton, Wyo.) – An $850,000 remodeling and expansion project at the Riverton Days Inn on West Main is slated for completion by the end of July, according to motel manager Ann LaPierre. The expansion will add 17 new guest rooms, a guest laundry, a hot tub and a work out room, LaPierre said. In addition to the expansion, she said all existing 32 rooms are being upgraded. “We’ll be a whole new motel when we’re done,” she said. The newly remodeled facility will also now include an interior hallway to access the rooms.
According to plans on file at the City of Riverton’s Community Development Office, the construction also includes installation of a fire suppression sprinkler system throughout and new heating and cooling systems. The work will also result in an expanded dining area for the motel’s continental breakfast offerings.
“It’s going to be really nice when they get it done,” said Sandy Luers, community development director.
Luers said another project now underway on the west end of town is an expansion of a fiber optic line from South 7th East to the tower next to the city water tank on High School Hill. The infrastructure of the cell phone tower site is being upgraded.
