(Riverton, Wyo.) – It won’t be long now before the name of Riverton’s new elementary school will be known. The deadline for suggestions was Tuesday, and many dozens of suggestions came in, according to Supt. Terry Snyder. “There are a lot to choose from, some good and interesting choices,” he said. “We’ll narrow it down to two or three and then let the K-3 kids chose the name for their school. As far as the new school’s mascot, we’ll wait until the kids get into their building in the fall of 2016 and then they can choose that.”

Snyder said more of the nuts and bolts of each classroom design are now coming into focus. “We’re now into detail on where things should go in classroom,” he said. “The next thing the architects will do is to produce a 3-D representation of the classrooms and building. Sandstrom (Architecture) is a great listener and they’ll adjust and modify as we go on.”
