Early morning wreck in Hudson results in only minor injuries.

(Hudson, Wyo.) – Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Wyrick said a two vehicle wreck shortly before 8 a.m. in Hudson resulted in only minor injuries to a single individual.

A white sedan was reportedly driving the opposite direction through Hudson as a red pickup. Wyrick said for reasons unknown at this time the driver the white sedan turned in front of the pickup causing the near head-on wreck.

Because both were going about 30 mph, there were no major injuries. Wyrick said the female driver of the sedan sustained some bruising from the airbag deploying. Citations against the driver are pending.

The wreck occurred days after the Wyoming Department of Transportation re-striped downtown Hudson to have only a single lane of travel each direction, with a turning lane in the center. It is unknown at this time if the change in traffic pattern contributed to the wreck. Read more about the re-striping and view photos here.

Preliminary reports indicate highway striping did not contribute to this crash. The driver of the southbound sedan, as reported by County 10 and reported by law enforcement personnel, was driving in the wrong lane.
