(Lander, Wyo.) Who doesn’t love a clean garage? While the act of organizing your garage can be a bit time consuming – it’s totally worth it in the end! Especially if you follow our 5 DIY projects below.

As a child I remember my grandparents’ garage. The thing I loved most was the huge pegboard wall. Each tool was outlined with a black sharpie. I loved it! Not only does it help you keep your tools in order, but it adds something to the bare walls.

This tutorial will walk you through the installation process and let you know exactly what you need before you get started. Or, follow this tutorial instead!

Tip #2: Mount your bike on the wall!

You can find bike mounts all over the internet, but why not do it yourself! This post walks you through building your own using drop styled handle bars.

Tip #3: Mount your recycle bins!

This is a great idea. Avoid a pile of shovels, rakes, and garden tools by hanging PVC pipe! Click here to see how this clever reader did it.

Tip #5: Clever jar storage for your nails, screws, and other tiny items!

This is such a clever way to store the little things that you find all over your garage. You can buy matching mason jars, or use jars you would have recycled or thrown out!
