(Riverton, Wyo.) – in preparation for the Central Wyoming College Powwow coming up this Friday, May 2nd, the CWC Diversity Committee has erected a Tipi in the Intertribal Center on campus. “Everyone has a story to tell and share,” said Diversity Coordinator Sergio Maldonado and, as such, the Diversity Committee is inviting people to come for “Story Telling in the Round,” tonight and Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The focus of the event is an 1840 buffalo hide tipi from the St. Stephen’s Indian School, a replica of an Arapaho Tipi from the Smithsonian Institution.
