Fulmer’s Fat Boy successful bidder to operate Riverton’s Airport Cafe

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Dining will soon be available once again at Riverton Regional Airport. After the abrupt closure of the Airport Cafe in February, the city put out a request for proposals for a new operator there. After four establishments submitted applications, and that list was narrowed to two finalists, the city has chosen Fulmer’s Fat Boy to be the new operator.

Airport Manager Paul Griffin said the decision will be reviewed by the City Council at its May 6th meeting. “They have some great plans for the diner, including a more formal evening setting,” he told the Airport Board on Friday. “They already have a restaurant in downtown Riverton and one in Shoshoni and it’s my understanding that after the city council acts, they’ll pick up the key and get ready to open.

I wish them luck, they will need it with a failing airline, who uses Riverton?

great location to get away from the exaust, and beautiful view of the surroundings, many meals shared with family, I liked seeing all the regulars, and Fulmers gives great service, win-win.

If they open for lunch then it gives us who work out of city limits on that end of town an option that isn't full of people by the time I get there
