(Riverton, Wyo.) – Construction has started on a new warehouse facility on the long vacant former site of the Farmer’s Exchange Grain Elevator on North Broadway. “We’re building a 7,200 foot warehouse on the site that will contain three lease spaces,” said Rokom, Inc. principal Brandon Roemer. “I don’t have any tenants lined up yet, it’ll be an investment for my family.”
Roemer said the new space could be used for dry storage, “or for someone to put a little business in there.”
The property will be fenced off from the Rails to Trails and it will have off street parking. “It’s a nice metal building that fits in the C-1 Zone there,” said Kristie Peterson, from the City of Riverton’s Community Development permitting office. The new construction is located cross the North Broadway from the USDA Service Center.
On Tuesday, workers were digging a foundation and performing other tasks at the site. Building materials had been stored there for the past month.
