(Riverton, Wyo.) – Fremont County Sheriff’s Deputies are continuing to investigate an incident from Saturday evening where a man allegedly charged into a home and threatened a family with a knife while they were decorating Easter eggs.
On Saturday evening, at about 9:15 p.m., Fremont County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home at 1575 East Monroe concerning an unknown intruder who had entered the home and brandished a knife.
The man had fled the scene before deputies arrived, Undersheriff Ryan Lee reports.
“Family members at the home explained they were decorating Easter eggs when an unknown man barged into the home making the statement that he was ‘going to slit everyone,’” Lee said in a statement. “The males in the residence were able to coax the man outside, at which time he pulled a fixed blade knife and attempted to attack one of the men several times before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported.”
Lee said that deputies have identified a possible suspect. “We are confident there will be resolution in the case very soon,” he said.
