Ft. Washakie

The branch located in Ft. Washakie will be closed during this time, but will reopen shortly after. We realize this may be a huge inconvenience, but we do not have adequate staff and governmental support to accommodate the increased volume of customer needs.  If you are a customer, you can securely and conveniently use the night drop deposit, it will be checked daily.  Once we reopen you will still need to go to the Lander or Riverton branches to cash settlement checks.

When entering the bank:

We want to be able to help customers and non-customers quickly and easily at the Lander and Riverton braches.  Accordingly, we have created a strategy to best serve you. 

Lander – Lobby

The Main Street entrance has been designated for customers who want to simply deposit (without taking cash back) settlement checks and any customers with non-settlement transactions.  We recommend that any businesses that bank with us also use this entrance.

We ask that customers wanting cash back, or non-customers wanting to cash settlement checks, please use the main entrance adjacent to the back parking lot.

Once inside, there will be lines designated for customers and non-customers.

Riverton – Lobby

As the branch only has one door, there is no set entrances for customers or non-customers.  However, once inside, there will be lines designated for customers and non-customers.

Drive-Thru Lanes (Lander & Riverton):

We have designated the drive-thru for customer transactions and settlement check deposits (no cash back) only.  We will not be able to assist non-customer needs in the drive-thru. 

If you are a non-customer, or a customer wanting cash back from a settlement check, we ask you to please come inside the bank.

What customers need to know:

We are more than happy to help all our customers with their banking needs.  We recommend depositing the check into your account. This way, your money will be secure and you avoid the risks associated with carrying large amounts of cash.  You may use personal checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, and your ATM card to access the amount you deposited.

We will not cash third-party checks (checks endorsed by one person to another person).

If the check is payable to more than one person, all parties MUST be present.

What non-customers need to know:

There will be a 3% check cashing fee.  This is a standard rate amongst most banks, however, we encourage you to call various banks in the community to see what other rates may be.

We will not be opening new accounts during the release of the settlement checks.  We do not have the staff available to meet the needs of those wanting to open new accounts.  Please come into the bank and open an account beforehand, or during the week of May 5th.   You can see our account types at www.centralbanktrust.com.

If the check is payable to more than one person, all parties MUST be present.

When cashing your check you will need a valid and current government issued ID.  No exceptions.

Examples of what we will accept as identification are:

  • A recent, watermarked Tribal ID
  • Driver’s license
  • Military ID
  • Passport
  • State issued ID card

You will also need to provide your social security number, date of birth, valid physical address, and current occupation.  These identification procedures have been put in place for not only the security of the bank, but for your security as well.
