There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state. Each week we’ll highlight some of them! Keep in mind these are the highlights from teams that send their stats into the stat collection center. We rely on coaches to send in game information each week.
BOYS: Lakota Oldman of St Stephens went off for 42 points in a game against Shoshoni. Reigning Gatorade Player of the Year Cody Kelley of Gillette dumped in 40 against South. Kalei Smith of Powell and CJ Smith if Rock River each scored 34 while Kyler Cummings of South scored 33, a new school record.
GIRLS: Lydia Skahlberg of Snake River scored a weekend high 27 against Arvada Clearmont. Jessie Underberg of Douglas and Shayna Kretschman of Arvada/Clearmont each scored 24. Julia Seamans of Gillette and Kemmerer’s Tia Tiller each scored 23 in wins on the weekend.
BOYS: Cody Kelly hit 5 of 8 from three point land vs South. Kalei Smith of Powell was 5 of 7 vs Lyman. Guy Erickson of Encampment was 5 for 10 and Jace Allard of Rawlins was 5 for 9 in a loss to Buffalo.
GIRLS: Julia Seamans hit 3 of 4 as did Newcastle’s Abby Gray. Seamans was also 3 of 6 in another game. Loveeda White of Wyoming Indian hit 3 of 8, Ashley Tehau of Kaycee was 3 of 7 and Baylee Ferguson of Midwest was 3 of 5.
BOYS: Kyler Cummings of South hit 14 of 18 vs Gillette. Alek Johnson of Evanston was 13 for 21. Jordan Costello of Pinedale hit 10 for 11 while Cameron Weigle of Arvada/Clearmont was perfect hitting 10 for 10 against NSI. Wheatland’s Kendrick Jackson was 9 for 11 vs. Douglas.
GIRLS: Bailey Forney of Rawlins hit 10 for 13 vs Douglas. Tia Tiller of Kemmerer was 9 for 10, Rachel Erickson of Esat was 8 for 10 and Haley Clark of HEM was 8 for 11 in one game and 7 for 18 in another.
BOYS: Rock River’s Corey McCallister had 19 and 18 rebound games this weekend. He had 10 offensive boards in the 19 rebound effort. Jaron Arthur of St Stephens grabbed 16 vs Shoshoni while Kendrick Jackson of Wheatland and Seth Bennett of Meeteetse each had 15 rebounds in a game.
GIRLS: Reigning Girls Gatorade Player of the Year Kaylee Johnson of Natrona had 20 rebounds, 12 on the offensive end vs Green River. Haley Clark of HEM had 18, 11 on offensive, Kiley Ridgway of Riverton greabbed 16 vs Rock Springs as did Courtney Kudera of Snake River. Ashlyn Schamber of Lander had 15 along with Teerstyn Johnson of Pinedale.
BOYS: Lakota Oldman had 7 steals vs Shoshoni. Preston Wardell had 6 for Burlington as did Luke Pantle of Encampment. Seth Bennett, Kyhler Cummings and Ray of Midwest each had 5.
GIRLS: Shayna Kretschman of Arvada/Clearmont had 7 steals. Kaylee Johnson of NC had 6 as did Lydia Skalberg, and Kailee Adams of Torrington. Quriss Romero had 5 steals.
BOYS: Kason Clutter of Greybull, Cody Kelley, and Caleb C’Bearing of Wind River each had 8 assists in a game. Kendrick Jackson and Riverton’s Brandon Fullerton each had 6.
GIRLS: Kaylee Johnson had 9 assists for NC. Haley Clark of HEM had 7. Lydia Skalberg and Julia Seamans each had 6.
