(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Central Wyoming College Board of Trustees are meeting Tuesday evening to further discuss the search for a new President as well as act on a new lease agreement for a future Lander Center.
Association of Community College Trustee’s Search Consultant Dr. Pamila Fisher will provide the board with an update on the search process. The discussion precedes a public forum on the topic scheduled for Wednesday morning. The board on Wednesday will be seeking public input on the search for a new president. (See this post for more information.)
Additionally, Vice President for Administrative Services Ron Granger will present the board with a 50-year lease for land adjacent to the Wyoming Life Resource Center for a future Lander Center. The annual cost of the lease will be $11,760. “Although the lease amount is higher than we expected, this is a very good deal for us and gives us the opportunity to start the Lander project this spring,” Granger wrote in a memo to the board.
He also notes that final design of the meeting is expected to be complete in April or May. Once that is complete construction bids can be sought. The plan, he states, would be to break ground in June.
The board meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Intertribal Education and Community Center. A two hour executive session for personnel is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
