(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Central Wyoming College basketball teams faced Northwest College on Saturday, with the women’s team beating the visitors but the men’s team came up short. The Lady Rustlers took a four point lead into the locker room at half and held on to beat Northwest College 65-58 at home on Saturday during the Military Appreciation Day at Rustler Gym, Coach Serol Stauffenberg reports. Jolonna Sazue hit five three-pointers at totaled 22 points to lead all scorers.  McKenley Hellstern added 14, and Jocelyn Jones 13. The Rustlers out-rebounded the Trappers with Jones grabbing 9 and Tina Hosea 6. The men lost 79-54. Northwest had the largest lead in the last half with 27-point spread. The score was tied six times, and the lead changed 12 times. Central Wyoming College hits the road Tuesday to take on Casper College and finishes the regular season at home against Sheridan College on Saturday.
