(Lander, Wyo.) – A 25-year-old Rock Springs woman was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after Deputies were initially called to a residence on Vessel Road in Lander for the report of a stolen vehicle, Undersheriff Ryan Lee reports.

“The suspect, Kimberly Blount, is alleged to have taken a Toyota Four Runner belonging to her boyfriend’s father without permission,” Lee said. “After taking the initial report, Blount arrived back at the residence with the vehicle. Blount admitted to taking the vehicle without permission and indicated she had driven it to Rock Springs. She also stated she had been in a collision with the vehicle; however details about the wreck remain unclear. The vehicle had also been called in as a REDDI Report in the City of Lander prior to arriving back at the residence.”

She was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Driving while under Suspension, and Possession of Marijuana, after Deputies located the controlled substance on her person. The case has been forwarded to the Fremont County Attorney for review and further charges may be pending.
