(Lander, Wyo) – The LVHS Spanish I and II classes hosted a night of tasting experiences for their families derived from the cuisine of 12 different Latin American countries. The students had been collaborating together to research online and create a taste-testing menu along with a fabulously colorful display to showcase authentic cultural differences and unique tastes. Matthew Parsons, Spanish and Social Studies teacher at LVHS, spearheaded the project as part of his effort to gain a National Board Accreditation Certificate. “I received a lot of great feedback from the students about the project, but more than anything I was humbled by how much work the kids put into it,” relayed Parsons.
