(Fremont County, Wyo.) – Here is Thursday’s law enforcement round-up from across Fremont County. All those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
Fremont County Coroner
Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Stratmoen reported a 61-year-old rural Riverton woman died after suffering a medical emergency Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. at her home off of the Eight Mile Road. Stratmoen said an autopsy would be scheduled to determine the manner and cause of death.
Riverton Police Department
Aloysious Bell, 31, Riverton, Municipal Warrant.
Beatrice Monroe, 38, Arapahoe, Fremont County warrants.
Ivan Prentup, 34, Riverton, Public Intoxication and Interfering with aPeace Officer.
Chauncey Friday, 47, Riverton, Disturbing the Peace.
Dominic Arthur, 45, Arapahoe, Municipal Warrant.
Karla Eckhardt, 48, Riverton, Driving Under the Influence. A REDDI report was phoned into police at 11:15 p.m. Police found the vehicle in the 2100 block of North Federal Boulevard and determined Eckhardt was in no condition to be driving after she allegedly failed sobriety tests at the scene.
A Riverton resident reported possible unauthorized charges on a debit card. The card was cancelled but police notified so a report could be made.
Under investigation is a “cold” domestic violence incident that occurred earlier this month. Captain C. T. Smith said Thursday and investigation is under way into the incident.
A two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:46 p.m. at Webbwood Road and Sunnyside Drive between a brown GMC Terrain and a white Dodge Durango. There were no injuries.
A clerk in a business in the 500 block of East Pershing called police to report that some juveniles were calling clerks there bad names. The subjects were gone upon police arrival. What is that old saying about Stick and stones…
An airplane that failed to check with Salt Lake City Air Control after landing in Riverton resulted in a call to police to check the apron to see if the aircraft made it here safely. It did.
A report of drug use that police investigated involving several juveniles turned out to be unfounded. It was an anonymous report.
Lander Police Department
Seth Lebeau, 30, Lander, on a Fremont County warrant.
Shane Nelson, 41, Lander, on a Probation Arrest and Hold.
Two sex offenses reported in Lander are under investigation. Additional information was not released on either case.
Lt. Chuck Carr said there was a three car wreck in any alley on Wednesday afternoon, the first he said he’d seen in his career. A woman backing out of a parking space in the north side alley of the 300 block of Main Street reportedly struck a vehicle driving through the alley. After hitting the vehicle that was passing by, the backing vehicle slid and hit another parked vehicle. Carr said overall there was more than $1,000 in damage, but the parked vehicle was undamaged. The driver of the backing vehicle was cited for Improper Backing.
At 3:34 p.m., police were called about someone playing music too loudly on the 500 block of Railroad Street. Police made contact with a man who said he had been testing out new subwoofers in his vehicle for 10 or 15 minutes. He agreed to turn the music down.
A fire alarm at Lander Regional Hospital at 2:06 a.m. on Thursday was determined to be false.
Fremont County Sheriff’s Department
Colin Amos, 26, Riverton, on a Probation Revocation warrant
Matthew Snyder, 33, Riverton, on a Failure to Appear warrant and Possession of a Controlled Substance
Wyoming Highway Patrol reportedly handled a 7:19 a.m. report of a vehicle on Highway 789 that was reportedly all over the road. The caller said the vehicle pulled off at the water treatment plant, a man got out and fell over. WHP Lt. Tom Adams said the man was not intoxicated. Additional information was not available.
A report of a sex offender not registering his location in the Riverton area is under investigation.
A woman on Lost Wells Butte Drive reported that her landlord was threatening to evict her because she was a couple days late on rent.
