Thursday, Feb. 6

Dubois Museum Association Meeting – The meeting is open to the public starting at 5 p.m. at the library in Dubois.

Wind River Elementary Family Night - Come and enjoy family math, reading and writing activities in the elementary gym on Thursday evening, February 6th from 5:30 – 7:00. Door prizes, free books and more will be given out. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:00, activities will follow in the gym. For questions please call the elementary school at 856-7970 ext 3.

 

Friday, Feb. 7

‘Taste’ of Wind River Parent Leadership Training - Group interviews will be held for selection into the class from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Central Wyoming College Intertribal Center.

Tai Chi Workshop with Scott Cole – Scott will be teaching the first and second sections of the Long Form. Whether you are brand new and curious about the benefits of Tai Chi or already practicing, you are sure to enjoy and embrace this ‘moving meditation.’ Sessions are at 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Wild West Winter Carnival Quick Draw - Presented by the Riverton Artist’s Guild starting at 8 p.m. at the Riverton Elks Club. Artists complete a project within an hour while the public mills around behind them, and the results are auctioned off later that evening.

 

Saturday, Feb. 8

Quiltfest - The Wyoming Star Quilters will have quilts on display beforehand in selected Downtown merchants windows and at Fremont Center at the Riverton Armory from Noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Met Opera ‘Rusalka’ and Special Reception - The Metropolitan Opera is presenting the opera ” Rusalka” at 11:00am in the Carnegie Room. Donations at the door: $5 student $10 adult. There will also be a special reception at 1:15pm during the 2nd intermission of the opera, in the Carnegie Room. The public is invited to join us in celebrating the installation of the new audio/visual equipment in the Carnegie Room at the Lander Library. The reception is free and open to the public.

Wild West Winter Carnival Gala - Sponsors and public can enjoy delectable hors d’ouvres and music at Bar 10 starting at 7:30 p.m. Public will need to have buttons, purchased for $5 each at the door.

 

Sunday, Feb. 9

Quiltfest - The Wyoming Star Quilters will have quilts on display beforehand in selected Downtown merchants windows and at Fremont Center at the Riverton Armory from Noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Wyoming Symphony Orchestra - The Lander Community Concerts Association (LCCA) is proud to host the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra (WSO) and special guest, internationally recognized Italian guitarist, Nando di Modugno, for a performance showcasing works by well-known classical and modern composers at 2:30 p.m. at the Lander Valley High School auditorium. The concert is open to the public and tickets are available at the door; $20/adult, $10/student.

Desert Social and Auction for Trinity Lutheran School – The event will be held at St. Margaret’s Gym in Riverton from 3-5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children age 5-15 and free for children under 5. Enjoy a buffet of homemade desserts, and bid on gift items and desserts to take home. There will also be face painting and entertainment by the students from Trinity Lutheran School.
